Eckardt score – a clinical score for Achalasia

Eckardt score is used to assess the severity of achalasia symptoms. It is based on four major achalasia symptoms: dysphagia, regurgitations, chest pain, and weight loss.

It is used to evaluate the efficiency of a treatment durring the follow-up.

An Eckardt score less than 3 points is considered as remission of the disease.
